The Big Red Resilience Certificate is a self-paced training program designed to cultivate mental health champions across the Denison campus. Whether you’re a student, faculty member, or staff professional, this is an opportunity to develop practical skills that matter — support others in distress, increase your knowledge about community mental health resources, and build resilience to maintain your own well-being while helping others.

Work through the certification program in Canvas at your own pace, balancing learning with your existing commitments. While we recommend completing the program within two years, the choice is yours.

When you complete the Big Red Resilience Certificate, you become part of a community of mental health advocates making a difference on campus. You’ll earn:

  • An official certificate and digital badge to showcase on LinkedIn and email signatures
  • Recognition in the campus-wide Hoaglin Newsletter
  • Invitation to an annual celebration party honoring your accomplishment

Every Big Red Resilience Champion amplifies our commitment to supporting one another. In a community where everyone looks out for everyone, we’re stronger, more compassionate, and genuinely well.
