With workshops, new courses, and hands-on experimentation, Denison is engaging artificial intelligence as a tool — not a replacement — for learning, creativity, and critical inquiry. 

Across majors, faculty are integrating AI into assignments and class conversations. Investments in data science and campus infrastructure support this shift. The goal? To ensure every student graduates with AI fluency, digital literacy, and the intellectual curiosity to use technology thoughtfully in an ever-evolving world.

Onboarding

Our student ambassadors built AI Essentials, an online course for first-year students. Whether you’re new to it or you’ve already explored, this course was made for students, by students.

Custom AI platform

DenAI was created specifically for our campus community, in partnership with Amazon Web Services. DenAI gives users secure, easy access to generative AI tools.

A powerful hub integrating data and AI literacy across the student experience

The Emily Hauser King and Robert E. King Center for Data & Innovation, within the newly expanded Dale and Tina Knobel Hall, houses courses and collaborative projects at the intersection of AI, data, technology, and the liberal arts.

Denison’s vision makes data literacy a central part of our curriculum and campus experience. By connecting theory with application, students gain exposure to the tools and techniques used across a wide range of industries and understand how data and technology are used to address real-world challenges.
