Philip leads a double life: he’s both a medical student AND a researcher. In addition to his medical school course work at OSU, he conducts research with Nationwide Children’s Hospital. At Nationwide, Philip is on the Center for Surgical Outcomes Research team that’s investigating how Medicaid expansion altered trauma care for motor vehicle accident victims.

I’ve been working with the same physician since I started medical school here. It’s a really good opportunity to have a one-on-one relationship with someone I view as a mentor.
