Come discover the path to renewing, restoring, and healing for anyone who may be exhausted, anxious, or stressed. Urban Zen Integrative Therapy uses a blend of gentle movements, restorative yoga poses, aromatherapy, Reiki, breath practices, and guided meditation leaving you feeling calm, relaxed, and revitalized. This opportunity is open to all students, faculty and staff. No yoga experience necessary. Email Heather Borland to sign up.
Morning Mindfulness
April 29 - May 3
8 - 10 AM daily, 3rd Floor, Slayter Student Union
Please join Mindful Denison Coordinator and UCLA Certified Mindfulness Facilitator, Linnea Pyne, for introductory mindfulness practices to suit all levels of ability and interest. Practices will officially begin every 20 minutes but you are welcome to join at any time! A great start to your day, these basic practices allow you to access greater ease, focus and clarity.
Pop-Up Mindfulness

One of the most wonderful aspects of mindfulness practice is that you can do it anytime, anywhere! Linnea Pyne, Mindful Denison Coordinator and UCLA Certified Mindfulness Facilitator will be popping up around campus, offering instruction on short Mindfulness practices to help you create a pause in your day and learn to access your own mindful awareness. Mindfulness practice has a wide range of benefits from reducing stress to increasing focus and helping support self compassion and acceptance. Listen for the sound of the bell and join in - you might be surprised at just how accessible mindfulness is!
Mindful Study Breaks

6 - 9 PM, Each evening in the Center for Learning and Teaching, Doane Library
Mindful Study Breaks are Mindful Denison Coordinator and UCLA Certified Mindfulness Facilitator, Linnea Pyne’s, ongoing mindfulness practices developed specifically with the Denison student in mind. You will learn a basic mindfulness practice that can give you a break in your studies that week, help with your studying and focus in general, and also give you specific answers as to how mindfulness practice can support you as a student at Denison, whatever your path may be. Come have some chocolate, hang out for a few minutes and try it out!
