A wide range of nationally and internationally competitive fellowships are available to support graduating seniors and recent alumni who wish to pursue graduate study, undertake independent research projects, teach English abroad, as well as many other opportunities.

Successful fellowships winners typically have a strong academic record, have taken challenging courses, pursued independent research and work experiences, and played a sustained leadership role in their area(s) of interest. Since 1989, over 80 Denison students have won Fulbright U.S. Student Awards. In recent years, many Denison students and recent alumni have won or been finalists for prestigious postgraduate awards, including :

Fulbright Study/Research Award

The Fulbright Study Award funds one year of graduate study abroad. The Fulbright Research Award funds one year of research work abroad.

Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship allows recipients to teach English abroad for one year.

NSF-GRFP

National Science Foundation three-year graduate research fellowships in science, mathematics, engineering and social sciences are awarded for study and research leading to master’s or doctoral degrees in mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and behavioral and social sciences.

Marshall Scholarship

The Marshall Scholarship funds one year of graduate study at any UK institution in any field of study.

Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship funds one year of graduate study at Oxford.

Rangel Scholarship

The Rangel Graduate Fellowship funds two years of graduate study and internships to prepare outstanding young people for careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State.
