The Denison Museum presents “The Great War: Illustrations by Jean-Louis Forain.” As the first mass-scale war in the modern world, World War I was the most destructive and violent of its time. This exhibition displays the war’s grim realities as experienced by French artist Jean-Louis Forain, who saw the devastation first-hand as a graphic correspondent for the magazine Le Figaro. Also featured is Denison’s memorial flag commemorating the students and alumni who bravely fought in the war.

The exhibit runs from Wednesday, February 1 until Friday, May 12. The Denison Museum is open from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
