Family Orientation Programming
Families and supporters are invited to join their students on campus for move-in day on Wednesday, Aug. 20, and family orientation programming on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025.
Take this time to help your student set up their bedroom, enjoy a meal together at one of Granville’s restaurants, experience the Induction Ceremony, and attend orientation programming specifically created for new families. Information about selecting a move-in time slot for Aug. 20 will be sent to your student in July.

Arrive during your scheduled move-in time to get your room key and set up your residence hall room. Move-In assistance will be provided by student staff members, Denison Athletes, and university community volunteers. |

Orientation Check-In and Resource Fair |
East Quad |
After moving in, join us on East Quad to pick up your orientation materials and schedule and learn about offices that are here to support you on campus. |
5:45 - 6 p.m. |
Class of 2029 and Faculty Procession |

Faculty will be in full academic regalia. |
6 - 7 p.m. |
Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2029 |

After a busy day of moving your student in and getting them settled, we invite you to a reception to meet other families and connect with Denison staff. You’ll also receive your Class of 2029 Family Calendar. |
