Arts Visitors Guide

Most arts events at Denison are free and open to the public. However, some events still require a ticket for entry, especially if seating is limited or the event is expected to reach capacity. A small number of events may also have an admission cost. Look for “Ticket Info” on any event page for details about event tickets and pricing. If tickets are needed, click the “Get Tickets” button to visit the Arts at Denison ticketing site.

If your event requires a ticket, after completing your order you can choose to:

• Print your ticket
• Use a digital ticket on your phone

You can return to your order confirmation email at any time to access your tickets and switch between print or digital. You may also check in at the door using your name.

The Eisner Center houses five performance spaces:

• The Sharon Martin Hall (Room 250)
• The Thorsen Dance Studio (Room 271)
• The Burke Recital Hall (Room 202)
• The Hylbert Family Studio Theatre - formerly the Black Box Theatre - (Room 119)
• The Large Rehearsal Space (Room 144). 

Other venues:

• Denison Museum (located within the Eisner Center)
• Swasey Chapel

For arts events requiring tickets, at-the-door tickets may be available starting 30 minutes before the performance; however, we cannot guarantee availability. 

Doors Open typically 30 minutes before the start of the performance. 

Late Seating Policy 
For the safety of the audience and performers, the late seating policy varies by event and is at the discretion of the house manager.

Food & Drink
Food and drink are not permitted inside performance venues. Only bottled water is allowed.

Where are the academic department offices?

The main offices for the Departments of Art History & Visual Culture, Cinema, Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts can be found in several buildings located on Arts Quad, including the Bryant Arts Center, Cinema House, and the Michael D. Eisner Center for the Performing Arts. See details below.
