EXCELLENT TEACHERS ARE ENGAGED LEARNERS
Faculty/student engagement lies at the heart of Denison’s liberal arts education. The CfLT fosters Denison’s rich teaching and learning relationships by supporting and collaborating with faculty at all career stages to enhance teaching practices, explore and refine pedagogical perspectives, and promote student learning.
Informed teaching
We share resources through venues like Let’s Talk Teaching, our weekly newsletter offering campus reflections and curated, research-based digital resources to support ongoing faculty development and pedagogical engagement.
Collaboration and dialogue
Programs like the Teaching Matters series provide ongoing opportunities for conversation, reflection, and interactive exploration of diverse pedagogical topics for faculty across all disciplines and experience levels.
A teaching community
The CfLT provides space, structure, and leadership to foster a sense of community, promote intentional decision-making, and encourage creative problem-solving, enabling all faculty to continue growing as excellent teachers.
