Students and faculty of the Department of Physics and Astronomy gathered on April 28, 2025, to recognize and honor student achievements, particularly those of the Class of 2025.

Students make significant contributions to the department, including peer-to-peer mentoring, research, organization of social gatherings, and community outreach. The evening included dinner, awards, honors, and an SPS-led trivia contest.

Published and presented research

Brenden Riblett ’26 and Charlotte Magnell ’27 presented Exploring Yttrium Laser Cooling for Quantum Metrology, at the AirTalent Symposium in Maryland on April 24, 2025. They also received the Most Innovative Award for their research at the conference.

Denison Society of Physics Student Leadership Award
