What you’ll study for careers in medicine and health

Denison students in every academic discipline can take the required prerequisites for their post-graduate degree, within or alongside their major. The pre-health faculty advisor works with you and your primary advisor to navigate course prerequisites. These are the four most common majors leading to careers in medicine and health.

Students in humanities, arts, and interdisciplinary programs such as History, Philosophy, Visual Arts, and International Studies have also successfully entered their preferred health-related graduate programs.

“Succeeding in a healthcare career is more than test scores. You have to understand science but also interact with the general public, communicate clearly and respectfully, and be able to work as a team. Students develop these skills across all majors.”
