Celebrate the sounds of bluegrass and American roots music at the 22nd Annual Bluegrass and American Roots Festival, featuring Appalachian Road Show on Friday night and Bronwyn on Saturday night. Each concert begins with a short set by Denison’s Bluegrass and American Roots Ensemble, directed by Adam Schlenker.
The music continues Saturday afternoon with a band mixer workshop, where students, local musicians and guest artists come together to form pop-up bands for rehearsals, jamming and performances.
All events are free and open to the public; concert tickets are required for evening performances. Tickets will be available beginning Dec. 4, 2026.
Bronwyn
Bronwyn is a Grammy-winning fiddler and two-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Fiddle Player of the Year known for her work in Americana, bluegrass, and roots music. A former member of Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, she has expanded her artistry to include singing and songwriting. Her third album, Rattlin’ Bones, marks a new chapter as she leads her own band, blending original songs with the instrumental virtuosity and energetic musicianship that have defined her career. Her touring band features mandolinist Tristan Scroggins, banjoist Frank Evans, bassist Larry Cook and guitarist Grant Dresnok, whose musical chemistry brings her high-energy sound to life onstage.
