“There’s a Yearnin’” brings together jazz woodwind artist and arranger Jeff Lederer with jazz vocalese artist Mary LaRose in a program of compositions by Oliver Nelson, Ornette Coleman, and Eric Dolphy for woodwind quintet and voice.

This project shines a new light on the incredible and rarely performed compositional output of these three jazz masters, and unearths a woodwind sextet by Eric Dolphy from the 1960s that has not been heard until now.
