What happens after Cinderella gets her prince? After Jack chops down the beanstalk? With their second collaboration, “Into the Woods,” the always masterful Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine tangle classic Brothers Grimm fairytales together to explore these very questions…while asking a few more along the way. Instead of the tales we know, our favorite characters encounter unexpected twists and turns to find and maintain their “happily ever after.” In its wisdom, “Into the Woods” asks us to consider the journey, rather than the destination, as measurement of our lives’ work.
