For Incoming Students

Below are recommended and minimum specifications for student computers provided by Denison’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department.

  • If you are shopping for a new computer for college, please refer to the Recommended Specs. These specifications should equip most students with a device that meets their needs for four or more years.
  • If you plan to bring a computer you already have, please refer to the Minimum Specs. Network requirements and essential software compatibility guide these specifications.

Owning a computer is not required to attend Denison, however, many students find it very beneficial to their college experience. The Tech Guide for Incoming Students provides an overview of technology at Denison, including the many computers on campus available for student use.
