Studio Art: Vail Visiting Artists

Upcoming Events

About the Series

Denison Studio Art Vail Visiting Artist series is an endowed fund that allows for inviting working artists at all stages in their careers to come and speak to Denison students. The program strives to bring a diversity of artists, methods, backgrounds in order to provide students with a vision of some of the different ways in which art can function, question and articulate experience in the world.

These artists also meet with our Studio Art majors to provide one on one feedback and critique, as well as support and mentorship during the Junior and Senior years. We have been fortunate to have artists as varied as Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Zanele Muholi, Sharif Bey, Ann Hamilton, Guillermo Gómez-Peña, Glenn Ligon, Alison Bechdel, Delita Martin, Darin Klein, Troy Michie, David Antonio Cruz, fierce pussy, Gordon Hall, Karen Tam, Tania Bruguera, Morehshin Allahyari and Tanya Aguiñiga.
