Kristian Leichtenberg

I grew up in southern Louisiana, near New Orleans. I moved to Florida in my 20s and got an associate’s degree in Film and Video from Full Sail University 1997. I worked in the news industry at Central Florida News 13 as a video editor/writer producer.

My wife and I moved to her hometown of Columbus, Ohio where we ha d a daughter, and I became a full time dad, and full time student at The Ohio State University, graduating with a BA in English Education 2006.

We wound up moving back to Louisiana where I worked in the film industry, working in the locations department for four years. I then wound up teaching high school for six years at the Jefferson Parish Public School System, teaching film and video production, as well as IB film studies.

After that, my family and I moved back to Columbus, where we live now, and I wound up getting a job at Denison University after some time. I have enjoyed my five years here since.

Some of my hobbies are photography, cooking, hiking and playing guitar.
