Please join us for Share, Lift, Lead: Why Wellness & Well-Being are Important on May 6.

Notice: this information is for a past event.

In an era of burnout and “always-on” culture, understanding how to manage our mental and physical energy isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity. Join us for an engaging virtual session featuring Jennifer Posa, Ph.D. ‘93, a leader in the field of Industrial-Organizational Psychology and an expert in the science of how we thrive. From her early days as a Psychology major at Denison to her Doctorate in  Industrial-Organizational, Posa has spent her career bridging the gap between health fitness management and organizational health. As a Chief Wellbeing Officer, she doesn’t just look at data; she looks at the human experience.

In this session, we’ll cover the evolving role of the Chief Wellbeing Officer and why this perspective has become a critical necessity in our modern world. We will analyze the current state of global well-being to understand the data behind where we are collectively, followed by a live personal assessment in which you’ll use a “Well-being Wheel” to visualize and reflect honestly on your own life. Finally, we’ll bridge the gap from data to intentional action, exploring how you can leverage personal agency and resilience to better navigate your environments and relationships.

About the Speaker

Jennifer Posa, Ph.D. ‘93 is an industrial–organizational psychologist and senior executive whose work has shaped how some of the most complex institutions in the world approach human performance, psychological health, and organizational strategy. Most recently, she served as the inaugural Chief Wellbeing Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency, where she established and led the first Congressionally mandated workforce well-being strategy within the U.S. Intelligence Community—ensuring mission readiness in one of the most demanding environments imaginable.

Before her service at the CIA, Posa was the Global Head of Employee Mental Well-Being & Workplace Effectiveness at Johnson & Johnson, responsible for executing a strategy that impacted the lives of more than 140,000 J&J employees across 77 countries. Earlier in her career, she spent 17 years at Mayo Clinic, advising executives and boards on employee health, engagement, and organizational culture. Posa’s work and insights have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, and at numerous national conferences where she has been a featured keynote speaker.
