DUing Good in Charlotte
Join Denisonians in Charlotte for a morning at Furnish for Good. Volunteers will work together to move furniture (with assistance), select items from a packing list, and arrange them to create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and truly like home.
Attendees will be able to connect and gather for lunch after the service is complete. Sandwiches, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Spots are limited so register today!
At Furnish for Good, they take donated, gently used furniture and home furnishings and provide them to individuals and families who have experienced homelessness or crisis in Charlotte. Their model is rooted in choice and dignity, allowing clients to select the furniture package that works best for them and their family. Volunteers play an important role in making this possible by designing vignettes using donated furniture.
Helpful Information:
Recommended attire is casual for a warehouse enviornment and Denison spirit wear is encouraged. Please where comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
