This talk will explore what is termed “the relational turn,” “the ontological turn,” and “the more than human turn” as it relates to scholarship on religion and new materialisms, with a particular focus on a Tibetan text that Jacoby has translated into English titled “Sera Khandro: The Autobiography of a Tibetan Buddhist Visionary” (Columbia University Press, expected 2026), along with some broader reflections about reading relational ontologies.
