Denison’s Studio Art program welcomes Mariola Kwasek.

Notice: this information is for a past event.

Denison’s Studio Art program welcomes Mariola Kwasek. Kwasek’s weavings and paintings are inspired by landscapes in Ecuador. Kwasek met with several classes and did weaving with the students in the Fibers class. She donated one of her weavings to the art department. Kwasek also did individual critiques, with the help of an interpreter. She spoke to a couple of Modern Language classes and gave a public presentation, “Weaver of Light,” on Thursday, March 2. An interpreter from Modern Languages helped with that presentation. Kwasek also attended the Spring Department Art Marathon. She worked on a piece from 7 p.m. until about 3 a.m. before heading back to the Buxton Inn.

This visit was funded by the Art Department, Modern Languages and the Laura C. Harris Fund.
