Denison’s Art History and Visual Culture Program held its annual Junior/Senior Symposium on Thursday, April 28th in the Bryant Art Center. Moderated by Prof. Karl Sandin, this event is a capstone experience for AHVC juniors and seniors. The symposium featured a presentation of research in progress by senior major Elizabeth Sullivan. Her project, entitled "Indigenizing Museums," focuses on the misrepresentation of indigenous peoples in national museums with a colonial heritage. Presenting their current ideas and approaches for senior research were junior majors Ellie Blasko, Adam Cohn, and Betsy Wagner. These students’ presentations were followed by a lively question and answer period with the large group of attendees.
