Robert Butts

I have taken a non-linear path to Denison, shaped by work across several industries and life in three different states. I began my career in restaurants, warehouses, and inventory operations, where I learned the value of teamwork, reliability, and clear processes. I later worked in sales and market research, which strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to listen carefully to people’s needs and constraints. These experiences eventually led me into education, workforce development, and higher education technology, where I now bring a practical, people-centered approach to my work. Having navigated many roles and environments, I value adaptability, clarity, and trust, and I approach problems with an appreciation for both the human and technical sides of change.
