Jacques Baynes

I serve as a Community Coordinator in Residential Communities & Housing at Denison University. In this role, I oversee the South and West Quad residence halls and support the development, supervision, and mentorship of Community Advisors. I also support the sophomore and junior student experience through engagement initiatives, community development, and campus-wide programming within the Division of Student Life.

I am passionate about fostering belonging, building meaningful relationships with students, and supporting student success through residential life.

Before joining Denison, I worked in residence life at West Virginia University, where I supported residential operations, supervised student staff, and contributed to student-centered initiatives.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Life Coaching at Grand Canyon University.

My professional interests include residential life, student support, leadership development, career development, and holistic student engagement.
