My name is Clayton Schmidt, and I have experience working as an independently licensed counselor since 2021. I graduated from Xavier University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, where I also completed my internship and started my interest in college counseling with Xavier’s counseling services. Since obtaining my degree, I have been working with a wide range of anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adjustment disorders, and other trauma-related disorders. I take particular interest in working with student athletes and members of the LGBTQ+ community, and currently serve as the counseling team’s liaison for the athletic department at Denison.
When I’m not counseling, I enjoy traveling, checking out movies at the AMC, and finding new board games to play. I look forward to being a part of the Denison community and helping you work towards becoming your best possible self!
