Biography

Brad Frenette holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Penn State University, as well as an M.F.A. in Performance Pedagogy with an emphasis in Directing from Texas Tech University. He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and has toured the United States and Europe with Hello, Dolly!, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, and Madagascar. Regional credits include Paper Mill Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, Stages St. Louis, and Pennsylvania Centre Stage. As an educator, he’s been honored with the ATHE/KCACTF Innovative Teaching Award and the Helen Devitt Jones Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award. He specializes in musical theatre performance, history and form, and dramaturgy. At Denison, he directs Singers’ Theatre Workshop and teaches a range of courses in music theatre.
