Abby Smith

Abby joined Denison University in 2022 as a Junior Systems and Applications Administrator. In her current position, Systems and Applications Administrator, she works as part of the Systems and Databases team to design, build, and maintain Denison’s server fleet in addition to supporting and maintaining core applications and services.

Abby has always had a passion for technology and knew she wanted to be in a technical role since her middle school years. The desire to learn and solve problems has fueled this passion to present day and can be seen in the work she does at Denison to support students, faculty, and staff.

In her free time, Abby likes to play video games, do crafts, cook/bake, and spend time with family and friends. Abby is also an avid Hello Kitty fan, as is seen on her desk at North Pearl.
