The Department of Music presents the 11th Annual Bluegrass Festival with The Ruhks, replacing Ralph Stanley. "Unfortunately I have to reschedule a few shows until later in the year. I am doing fine, but have to have a procedure done next week which will take me a few weeks to recover from. I love to walk out on that stage, and I look forward seeing you all real soon." -- Dr. Ralph Stanley Our thoughts are with Ralph and we wish him a speedy recovery. We hope to bring him back for a future festival. In Ralph's place, I have secured "The Ruhks." The band roster includes three of the premiere performers in bluegrass music: Kenny Smith, Ronnie Bowman, and Don Rigsby. In addition to the performance The Ruhks will be presenting workshops starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, in the Burke Rehearsal Room. The schedule of workshops will appear on the Denison Music Department website.
