Jazz guitar virtuoso Stanley Jordan headlines Denison’s 30th annual Jazz Guitar Festival. Jordan is known for his innovative two-handed “touch technique,” which redefined the possibilities of the instrument. His 1985 breakthrough album, “Magic Touch,” topped the Billboard jazz chart for a record-breaking 51 weeks. A classically trained pianist and Princeton University graduate, Jordan has earned four Grammy nominations and performed in more than 60 countries, collaborating across jazz, rock, classical, and popular music.

Also Friday: Jordan leads a free public masterclass at 3 p.m. in Burke Recital Hall. No registration is required; musicians are encouraged to bring their guitars.
