The Lisska Center is pleased to invite you to its first Faculty Lunch and Lecture of the year, featuring Professor Micaela Vivero, who will talk about her current research. Lunch will be available for registrants in the Curtis dining hall at 11:30 am and the lecture will begin in the Curtis Provost’s Dining Room at 11:45am. Please RSVP by noon on Monday, September 14.
Vivero was a Fulbright Senior Scholar to Spain in the Fall of 2024, followed by a Resident Fellowship at the Institute for American Universities in Barcelona, Spain. In this talk she will present the artistic research and body of artwork that came out of that experience.
About our presenter…
Vivero is professor of Visual Arts at Denison University. In her work, she explores the production of three-dimensional forms in soft materials which produce environments that invite audience interaction. Professor Vivero has exhibited her work nationally in the US, and internationally in Canada, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Ireland, Finland, Austria, Spain, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Italy and Armenia. With a BA in Art from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador and an MFA in Sculpture from Alfred University, Alfred, NY, she has participated in 17 artist in residence programs around the world.
