The Beck Series welcomes Amy Butcher. Butcher is essayist and the author of, most recently, “Mothertrucker,” a hybrid work of literary journalism and memoir that explores the realities of female fear, abusive relationships, and America’s quiet epidemic of intimate partner violence against the geography of remote, northern Alaska. The book earned critical praise from Publisher’s Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, The Wall Street Journal, Good Morning America, and CBS News, among others. She received a 2024 Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council.
