Alumni of The Denison Hilltoppers are gathering in Granville during the weekend of Oct. 6-8 to celebrate the group’s 45th anniversary. As part of their reunion, they will join the group’s current members to present their Denison Hilltoppers Generations Concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, in Swasey Chapel on the Denison campus. The program, which includes signature Hilltoppers favorites spanning more than four decades, is free and open to the public.
The oldest and the only all-male a cappella group on campus, The Denison Hilltoppers have been providing the Denison community with music and laughter since their founding in the fall of 1978. Coming from across the country and around the world and representing a wide range of academic interests and co-curricular pursuits, the Hilltoppers find fellowship through their shared love of music.
Throughout their history, they have performed all over the country. They have sung the National Anthem at multiple sporting events, including Major League Baseball, and they performed at President Bill Clinton’s second inauguration in January 1997 in Washington, D.C.
