Denisonians in Washington, D.C.: An Afternoon at The Phillips Collection
Join fellow Denisonians for an afternoon at The Phillips Collection, America’s first museum of modern art. Together, we’ll enjoy a private guided tour of the museum’s renowned collection and have the opportunity to continue exploring the galleries at your own pace.
Museum Guidelines
- Photography is encouraged throughout the galleries.
- Sketching is permitted using pencils without erasers.
- Food and beverages, umbrellas, pens, backpacks, and large bags are not permitted in the galleries.
- All bags are subject to search. Bags larger than 11 x 15 x 5 inches must be checked upon arrival. Exceptions will be made for oversized bags containing medical supplies.
Museum Shop
As part of our group visit, guests will receive a 10% discount at the museum shop. Simply mention that you are visiting with the tour group when making a purchase.
Helpful Information:
- Attire: Casual attire is recommended, and Denison spiritwear is encouraged.
- Metro: The museum is located just a few blocks from Washington Metro’s Dupont Circle Station (Red Line). Exit at the Q Street entrance and walk approximately 5–10 minutes to the museum.
- Parking: Limited street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Guests may wish to use nearby public parking garages, including the below, validation is not provided:
