Recently the Denison’s Ohio Iota chapter of the international honor society in mathematics, Pi Mu Epsilon, inducted its newest members. Pi Mu Epsilon is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding. To be considered for the prestigious recognition, students must

  • have taken at least 5 mathematics courses (18 credits)
  • have at least a 3.5 GPA in their mathematics courses
  • have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • be in the upper 35% of mathematics majors in their class

This year’s inductees were: Patrick Banner ’18, Benjamin Brown ’19, Julian Janczak ‘20, Jing Sun ‘18, and Yayuan Wang ‘20.
