Denison University’s Board of Trustees has elected graduating senior Cameron McIntosh to serve as the Class of 2025 Recent Student Trustee. McIntosh will graduate May 17 with a bachelor of arts degree in global commerce.
“Denison has shaped who I am today, and I want to give back by helping shape its future,” McIntosh said. “I see the recent student trustee position as an opportunity to bring student perspectives into key conversations while also helping students understand the Board’s vision, values, and decisions.”
McIntosh increased his knowledge of business and finance through a semester-long study abroad in Breisgau, Germany, and internships with Raymond James and IGS Energy. As an intern with Asset Strategy Group, he helped implement advanced AI models to increase efficiency and develop an outbound sales process, creating KPIs and a scoreboard to measure their efficacy.
In the Denison Consulting program, McIntosh helped design a go-to-market strategy for a Vietnamese vodka brand to expand into new U.S. markets. He also took a business operations course at Denison Edge, where he helped facilitate an 18-person consulting program by running day-to-day operations for the participants.
As a member of the Denison men’s soccer team, which won the NCAC Conference Championship in 2021, 2022, and 2023, McIntosh was an Academic All-District Selection for three years. He also developed and participated in monthly team volunteer experiences across campus and the Granville community. “Being a member of a three-time conference championship team is part of my fondest memories from the last four years,” he said.
After graduation, McIntosh will join Abercrombie & Fitch as a member of its leadership development program. There, he will manage inventories and provide sales forecasts and promotional strategies.
More about the Denison Board of Trustees and Recent Student Trustee position
The Board of Trustees consists of 37 members, plus the president of the university. Two trustee positions are reserved for recent students, who are asked to maintain a connection with and represent the current student body. Each year, a new Recent Student Trustee is selected from the graduating senior class to serve a two-year term. In this way, there is always one new and one experienced Recent Student Trustee, and the two have an opportunity to work together to bring helpful perspectives to the work of the board.
