Forgetting is harsh and rigid; softness, by contrast, is comforting and easing. This exhibition’s paintings emerge from two parallel narratives, each held in tension within the same surface: unease and comfort, friction and release. Each work contains these opposing forces at once, never resolving them, only negotiating their coexistence. The interior spaces and objects depicted serve as containers of memory, inviting viewers to explore their own associations with the familiar yet often overlooked elements of daily life. Do these paintings soften the edge of forgetting and render memory more bearable?
