2026 Ohio Goes to the Movies will sizzle with cinematic magic as communities across the state celebrate America 250. This statewide initiative showcases Ohio’s storied contributions to the silver screen by highlighting films made by, starring, or connected to Ohioans.

As a part of Denison’s Family Weekend events, we are proud to host a special screening of Marvel Studios’ blockbuster, Black Panther. This epic tale follows T’Challa as he defends the hidden, technologically advanced nation of Wakanda from a dissident threat, and our presentation specifically honors the incredible Licking County -affiliated talent behind its production.

The experience begins with a pre-screening gathering featuring a panel discussion and a curated gallery of photos and props from the film. This behind-the-scenes look offers a glimpse into the intricate set decoration process before the movie begins.

Following the screening, guests are invited to an intimate meet-and-greet with the Academy Award-winning Set Decorating crew. This is a unique opportunity to mingle with the industry’s elite and get the inside scoop on the artistry and craftsmanship required to create true movie magic.

Free, however tickets are required and will be available late summer.
