Set in the not-so-distant past of the 1990s, in the not-so-distant town of Athens, Ohio, She Kills Monsters takes audiences on an adventure through treacherous lands into the deepest corners of our imagination. Qui Nguyen’s 2011 comedy-drama introduces us to Agnes Evans, who, after bemoaning her average and boring life, experiences a devastating loss that turns her world upside down. In search of new ways to connect with her sister, Tilly, Agnes embarks on a journey into the world of role playing games and geekdom, discovering the world that provided a refuge for Tilly. Supermodel elves, Dungeon Masters, ogres, and villains await Agnes and the audience in this heartwarming tale of bravery, self acceptance, and love beyond life and death.

Aviva Neff joins Denison’s Theatre Department to direct this production. She Kills Monsters is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com.
