The online symposium will take place on Wednesday, September 21, at 8:30 AM (EDT)/6 PM (IST). Four professors (two from Denison and two from Ahmedabad University) will present their on "Redefining Gender: Transgressive Thinking and Subversive Solidarities." This online event is free and open to the public.

  • Leya Mathew (Social Sciences, Ahmedabad), Refusing Freedom, Happiness, Gayness
  • Barbara Fultner (Philosophy & Women’s & Gender Studies, Denison), #NiUnaMenos, not #MeToo: A Transnational Feminist Perspective

Presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion.

The event is co-sponsored by the School of Arts and Sciences (Ahmedabad University) and Denison University International Studies Program, Departments of Religion, Women’s and Gender Studies, and Philosophy.
