Out with the New…in with the Old

Out with the New….in with the Old is an exhibition of student works whether abandoned, old, or repurposed. Acknowledging that art serves as a personal archive and a record of presence and memory, this exhibition seeks to revitalize long-neglected pieces. Inspired by the saying “out with the old, in with the new,” it brings together works that may have sat in canvas storage racks or tucked away in a parent’s basement for years. By revisiting these older creations, Out with the New… in with the Old invites viewers to reflect on the evolution of the Denison Visual Art community and considers how past artistic endeavors continue to shape and influence the future.
