"Tell Better Stories" Workshop on Listening Well for Writers
What is louder and busier than a fair? Learn to still the clamor of competing sounds and voices in this community workshop.
Journalism continues its “Tell Better Stories” series on the fourth Saturday of every month at NEWORK Space. This stand-alone workshop on April 27, 2019 is led by Jeff Gill on “Tell Better Stories: Listening Well (For Writers)”. He will focus on improving active listening for the purpose of writing and storytelling. The participants will look at the physical, non-verbal, and mental processes around listening well and work on hearing each other better, listening to themselves and then take steps to write what they have heard.
Gill is a pastor, mediator and freelance writer based in Granville, Ohio. He writes two weekly columns, “Faith Works” for the Newark Advocate and “Notes From My Knapsack” for the Granville Sentinel.
Event is held at 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Registration is required. To register, please email Beth Lossing.
