Just can’t say enough about Dee!

Belonging & Inclusion Get Involved

The Columbus Dispatch is talking about Makorobondo Kamongwa “Dee” Salukombo ’12 again, and we wanted to make sure everyone had the chance to read sportswriter Rob Oller’s story that was published, not coincidentally, on the day of Denison’s commencement.

Dee is officially a Denison alumnus now, and it’s with mixed emotions that we bid him farewell. We’ll remember fondly his four years here as a driving force in philanthropy, international relief, and, of course, All-American distance running, but now it’s time to send him out into a world that needs him. Dee’s first stop: his birthplace in the Congo.

To learn more about Dee’s efforts in the Congo or make a donation, visit his website at projectkirotshe.org. There are some other links below, too, just in case you haven’t been following the story of this remarkable young man. It seems the media, like TheDEN and the whole of Denison, just can’t say enough about Dee.
