About the presenter, Rusty Carpenter ’81
Rustin (Rusty) Carpenter is a consultant to organizations in the fintech industry. He has served in senior consulting, sales, and general management leadership roles over his career. Most recently serving as the global payments solution leader at both Thoughtworks and Cognizant, for over 30 years, Rusty has operated at the intersection of technology, innovation, and organizational strategy to guide the largest and most complex banking and financial services companies to uncover what’s next. Rusty couples that hard-won experience with deep vertical expertise and solutions to help leaders modernize their payments infrastructure, digitize, and explore emerging alternatives in the space.
Over his expansive career, Rusty had held senior executive leadership positions at Thoughtworks, Cognizant, Entrust Datacard, Certegy Check Services, American Express Consulting, Accenture and Dun & Bradstreet. Carpenter has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
