The Center for Narrative Journalism welcomes journalist Brittany King to lead an interviewing workshop for aspiring writers and podcasters. She will talk about a story she has reported on and how she approached the interviewing process. Currently, a freelance writer in Indianapolis, King is a communications strategist dedicated to covering marginalized communities. Her favorite projects include topics such as combating racism in a small Ohio town, neighborhood equality in Marion County, In., and Charlottesville’s first Black female police chief rebuilding trust in a community scarred by violence and protest. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

The event is co-sponsored by Narrative Journalism and Black Studies.
