Tara Culibrk ’23

I was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. My whole life I had a dream to go to American college and swim and study there. That dream came true in fall of 2019 when I first stepped on Denison’s campus. Four years later, I gained not only incredible knowledge, critical thinking and intellect, but also more importantly relationships and friends that I now consider family. 

I graduated Denison in May 2023 with a NCAA Championship title with Denison’s swim and dive team. I decided to pursue more education and swim my 5th year of eligibility at University of Pittsburgh where I graduated with a certificate in Digital Media in May 2024. I was drawn back to Denison because I wanted to leave more legacy, and be a part of the team that is pushing the college to be better. 

Now I am a new employee in the Family and Alumni Engagement department and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited to be on our beautiful campus again. Go Big Red!
