New Director of Alumni and Family Engagement, Lori Anger

Denison University announces that Lori Anger is the university’s new director of alumni & family engagement. Anger joins Denison from her most recent position as director of marketing and business development with Ice Miller LLP in Columbus.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lori to the Denison family,” says Julie Houpt, vice president for institutional advancement. “Her experience in developing engagement strategies will help us deliver interesting and relevant experiences and opportunities to our more than 37,000 alumni around the world. Lori will be able to grow our program from the strong foundation that has been built in alumni & family engagement over many years and to enhance it with new and innovative programs that address the interests of our alumni and families. She is a terrific person to lead our engagement efforts.”

Anger has a long history of cultivating relationships and creating meaningful experiences for her clients. In her tenure with Ice Miller, she built client loyalty and engagement strategies as well as client service teams. Anger also served as client relations manager with the law firm of Perkins Coie LLP and as a business development coordinator with Freeborn & Peters LLP.

In her free time, Anger enjoys swimming, baking, photography, and travel.

Mary Frazell, Denison’s previous director of alumni & family engagement, has accepted a new role as Institutional Advancement’s director of administration & special events. Frazell will lead the event team that designs and executes major institutional events and work closely with the vice president and colleagues across the division in planning and executing fundraising and engagement strategies for the college.
