University of Texas professor and noted author Leonard N. Moore will offer his keynote speech, “See the Need. Have Compassion. Do Something About it,” in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
Moore is the George Littlefield Professor of American History and a Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of four books on black politics, including Carl B. Stokes and the Rise of Black Political Power, Black Rage in New Orleans, The Defeat of Black Power, and his most recent, Teaching Black History to White People.
