COVID-19 Message to Alumni (March 17, 2020)
For the most up-to-date information, please see Denison’s primary COVID-19 Coronavirus information page.
The last week has been an incredibly challenging week for our campus community as we started to respond to the public health challenges presented by COVID-19. I wanted you to hear directly from me. I hope you will take a few minutes to watch this video.
Our strength as a Denison community is most important, and apparent, in the face of challenges. While it has been a challenging week, it has also been, at times, an inspiring week. Our students, faculty and staff have met the challenges the Denison way with agility, grit, grace, creativity, intelligence, wisdom and empathy towards each other. We will weather this storm together, just as countless Denisonians have weathered others over our long history.
Some of you have also reached out to ask how to help students facing financial hardship as a result of these changes. We have established an Emergency Student Assistance Fund. The college is doing a lot of work to support our students and will continue to do so.
This is a great college. I am proud to be a Denisonian and inspired by all the ways our community is coming together to support each other.
