Pianist Brianna Matzke presents “Tremor,” a concert featuring new piano works commissioned in response to her essential tremor diagnosis. Composers Molly Joyce, Hanna Benn, Adeliia Faizullina, Matthew Evan Taylor, and Forrest Pierce drew inspiration from Matzke’s neurological condition to explore perceptions of ability and disability, personal expression in the face of misunderstanding, and the sense of belonging in a world that is ill-equipped to welcome them. Visual artists with disabilities have also contributed artwork in response to Matzke’s tremor, and sound artist Britni Bicknaver has incorporated their stories and experience with stuttering into the concert. The event will be a multimedia concert experience featuring music, images, and sound. You can watch the project introduction video at www.theresponseproject.org/tremor

Tickets are not required for the concert.
