Biography

In October of 2023, Ed took on the role of director of alumni engagement programming. He joined the Alumni & Family Engagement team in November of 2021 to focus on overseeing the Varsity D Association and on developing engagement opportunities and initiatives for all athletic alumni, current student-athletes, and families of student-athletes. Before rejoining the Denison community, Ed spent 16 years on the Alumni Relations team at Ohio Wesleyan University. In addition, he has worked for the College of Charleston (Charleston, S.C.) and Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Headquarters (Carmel, Ind.), as well as Denison University from 1996 until 2000, where he served as the assistant director of student activities for leadership development. Ed has more than 28 years of experience working in higher education, many of those in university advancement. Ed’s skills and strengths include alumni engagement, volunteer and event management, communication, and strategic planning. He is a dedicated senior leader serving on internal and external committees and boards where collaboration on strategic planning, projects, and initiatives is a key focus. Ed earned his B.S. in secondary education from the State University of New York – Plattsburgh and his M.Ed. in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina.
